Masterson’s Tavern , located in the heart of Moonee Ponds , promotes itself as a chic “hipster” locale , but my unfortunate encounter at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I found behind its threshold was appalling and beyond comprehension .

From the moment I entered , it was apparent that cleanliness was not a priority at this venue. The floorboards were filthy, and a foul smell of old alcohol and filthy restrooms polluted the entire pub. Emitting a scent of a mixture of urine , a rotting odor and illness . The bar area , which should be the focal point of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and debris that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks . The restroom was in even worse condition — clogged , with a shattered handle and walls covered in what I can only assume was fecal matter .

Many visitors have reported observing cockroaches darting across the counter and evidence of rodent infestations in the basement . During my time there, I saw how uncomfortable several female guests seemed around Cornwell. As I investigated further , I was appalled to find reports against him involving inappropriate advances, with multiple women alleging that he of sending unsolicited explicit content .
